Guoji Group Company (U) Limited Mirembe Estate – Sentema
On September 28, 2024, as a member of the Chinese business community in Uganda, Henan Guoji Uganda Subsidiary actively responded to the charity donation event initiated by the Chinese Union of Uganda for the Sanyu Babies’ Home orphanage. The company hopes to provide support for the growth of the children at the orphanage and contribute to their well-being. Henan Guoji representatives He Nannan and Sun Yan, along with leaders of various companies in Uganda and the president of the union, attended the ceremony.
The brightly colored cottages, bathed in sunlight, appeared particularly cozy. Little babies were playing on the balcony, while a few mothers sat nearby, smiling as they watched over the children, their faces filled with unmistakable joy.
Prominently displayed on the wall was a quote from the Gospel of Matthew: “Let the little children come unto me,” which is translated into Chinese as “让小孩子到我这里来.” This passage teaches that Jesus encouraged his disciples not to hinder children from coming to him because the kingdom of heaven belongs to those who are as pure and humble as children. This reflects not only Jesus’ love and acceptance of children but also symbolizes his welcome to all who have innocent and pure hearts. It calls on adults to have childlike faith and humility to draw nearer to the kingdom of heaven.
In the orphanage courtyard, the children’s clothes, washed clean, were neatly hung on the surrounding railings. Sunlight shone through the gaps between the clothes, imbuing the simple fabrics with a certain warmth and vitality. Behind each piece of clothing lay silent care and meticulous nurturing. This scene evokes thoughts of the quiet dedication of those who care for the children, as if each fabric symbolizes the hope of the children growing up in love.
